Dustin Moburg manages multiple school band and orchestra programs while staying actively involved in regional jazz performances.

School Band & Orchestra Direction

He directs the middle and high school instrumental music programs for Caledonia Area Public Schools. His student ensembles regularly perform across a variety of musical genres:

  • The "Warriors of Jazz": He serves as the director for this high school jazz ensemble, which frequently collaborates with professional local musicians.

  • The Warrior Marching Band: Under Moburg's leadership, the marching band performs at local regional events, such as the annual Brownsville Days Celebration.

  • Concert Bands: He conducts the 6th through 12th-grade concert bands. His ensembles have achieved critical acclaim, including earning "Superior" ratings at regional Large Group Contests.

Moburg maintains a professional performance schedule outside of his school duties:

  • Instrument: He is an accomplished trombone player.

  • Ensembles: He plays second trombone as a rostered member of the John Paulson Big Band. His studio work includes playing on the ensemble's jazz album, The Refuge Project.
